Security tools: 3 tips to make your business secure by using 4P

4P is the ultimate order management system thanks to all the perks you can add to your daily routine. Beyond doing things faster and more efficiently, 4P is also a system that takes security seriously, with lots of features intended to keep you focused only on making your company thrive.

Recently, Amazon and eBay worked closely with 4P's team to validate our security measures. We are glad to meet their standards and we look forward to working together.

This is a very important subject for us and when it comes to secure data, information and the confidentiality of our customers, this becomes an even more important and relevant topic, especially nowadays.

To exemplify some of our top features in this area, we’ll talk about just three of them below:

1 - Fraud score

In this feature, we secure an extra layer of protection for your team before they fulfill the order. You can create rules - as you like - to trigger color warnings: red, yellow or green. You may want to be alerted when something is off with the end customer address, the payment or even a ZIP code that is not accurate. 4P offers several parameters in that feature. Use it to help you throughout your daily processes and you will see how helpful it can be.

2 - User roles

If you are already a 4P client, you know that you can add as many company users as you like to make use of the system. Doesn't matter how big or small your company is, 4P can accommodate all of your internal team to use 4P simultaneously. The user roles exist so you can mimic the hierarchy of your company when using 4P. We offer to the store owner a complete list with all the roles and their meanings. So, the store owner can add and assign a different role to each one of the company's employees. By doing so, you can be sure that a 4P user has boundaries and limits to what they can see based on their role.

3 - Credit Card information not stored or displayed

4P does not keep track of the end customer’s credit card information. We pull the information to allow you to fulfill your orders normally, and provide you with a secure way to reauthorise a charge. This is a security measure that exists to avoid any leaks or unauthorized use of your client's credit card.

Scanning features: 3 useful options where you can use scan guns on 4Psite

Our latest webinar session was about key features and automation of processes that you can achieve by using 4P in your daily business operations. In this blog post, we will emphasize on one topic that we approached in this past presentation: connectivity with scan guns. To share this information with you, we decided to present 3 modules as a few examples where scanning is possible in 4Psite.

1 - Looking for a sku

On our Logistics tab, you can see all the variations of your products listed on the Inventory Status. There is a field meant to search by SKU, SKU prefix or UPC. Try to scan one of your skus and see the magic happen!

2 - Shipping

When you open Rule Based Shipping, you will see a box with a text “Scan Items”. You can use this to make sure the picked items are correct. Scan the products and click on “Verify”. The system will give you a message - if it is all “ok” or if you need to correct any of the items before creating the label.

3 - Purchasing

If you are familiar with our purchasing management module, you will notice that we have the ability to scan the received items, for every PO. Make sure you verify your received items by scanning the SKUs. Separate them by a comma or one per line and you will have accurate information in your records.

An important note: your scanning tool should emulate a keyboard. So it shows letters and numbers, as if you were typing them. There is no brand suggested nor another requirement needed to use our scannable fields.
